About Us – 2 Mutts Love
Our Story
At 2 Mutts Love, we believe that every dog deserves a second chance, and we are dedicated to making that happen. Founded by a group of passionate animal lovers, our foster-based rescue was born out of the need to save dogs from high-kill shelters and dangerous living conditions. Every dog we rescue is given a safe, loving environment where they can heal, grow, and prepare for a better future in a forever home.
Our journey began with a simple mission: to save as many dogs as we can, to give them the care they deserve, and to match them with families who will love them unconditionally. Since then, we have expanded our efforts, touching the lives of hundreds of dogs and families.
Our Mission
2 Mutts Love is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to rescuing dogs from high-risk situations, including overcrowded shelters, abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Through our foster-based rescue model, we provide individual care, medical attention, and emotional support to each dog until they find their perfect home.
Our mission is to:
Rescue: Save dogs from euthanasia and dangerous environments.
Rehabilitate: Provide medical treatment, love, and care to dogs in need.
Rehome: Connect dogs with loving, committed families who are ready to adopt.
What Makes Us Different
Foster-Based Rescue: Unlike traditional shelters, all of our dogs are placed in foster homes where they receive personalized care and attention. This allows them to thrive in a home environment, helping them become more adaptable and socialized before adoption.
Commitment to Transparency: We believe in being transparent with our supporters. We update potential adopters on the dog's progress, needs, and personality traits, helping ensure a successful match.
Focus on High-Risk Cases: We prioritize rescuing dogs who are in imminent danger—those facing euthanasia in overcrowded shelters or those who have been abused or abandoned. Every dog we save has a unique story, and we are committed to giving them a fresh start.
Veterinary Care & Socialization: Each dog is given a thorough medical examination, vaccinations, and spay/neuter surgery. We work with local veterinarians to address any medical concerns and provide any treatments needed. Additionally, our fosters provide vital socialization, teaching dogs how to live happily in a family home.
